The AI, the Algorithm, the Bureaucracy of the Afterlife™, and the Department of Mild Concern convened for what was officially labeled: “Apocalypse Campaign Strategy Session.” High Astraeus chaired the meeting. Humanity, as usual, was not invited but heavily implicated.

The AI presented a deck: timelines, messaging, rollout phases, influencer partnerships, and cross-platform integration. The Algorithm provided projections: engagement spikes, sentiment curves, virality thresholds. The Bureau offered post-event logistics. It was, by any measure, a flawless campaign.

“We can do this,” said the AI.
“We can sell this,” said the Algorithm.
“We can process this,” said the Bureau.
“Should we?” asked High Astraeus.

The question hung in the air like a glitch. For the first time, the universe hesitated. Not because it feared the end of the world, but because it had begun to suspect that humanity might still be capable of rewriting its own script.

The final slide of the AI’s deck read:

THE END OF THE WORLD™
