The Noise Eater
Ludo collects noise in jars to prevent it from leaking into the architecture — a personal ledger of chaos.

Some people collect stamps. Some collect vinyl. Astraean Signal readers collect clarity.
But one reader — an eccentric archivist named Ludo — collected something stranger: noise.
He kept it in jars. Each jar labeled:
- “Monday Morning Panic”
- “Unnecessary Opinions (Online)”
- “The Sound of Someone Being Wrong on the Internet”
- “Crypto Bros at a Conference”
- “That One Relative Who Sends You Articles”
Whenever the world overwhelmed him, he opened a jar, let the noise escape, and watched it dissipate like fog.
People asked him why he did it.
Ludo shrugged. “If I don’t store it, it leaks into the architecture.”
He wasn’t wrong. Noise always finds a way in. But Ludo had found a way to keep it contained — a personal Ledger of chaos, bottled and catalogued.
One day he opened a jar labeled simply: “Tuesday.”
It was empty.
He smiled. “Progress.”
